A congresswoman showed her anger during a speech on Monday and directed her fury at President Trump for stating that “those sons of a b**chies need firing”.
She goes on to say that the remark was racist and that there was no regulation in the first amendment that says that you cannot kneel before the national anthem and in front of the flag.
During her speech she stated the following:
“ I kneel because I’m going to stand against racism. I kneel because I will stand with those young men, and I will stand with our soldiers and stand with America because I kneel..”
While Sheila Jackson Lee kneeled during a speech another congressman – Mark Pocan also kneeled behind a podium at the end of his speech and directing his anger at Trump.
Various others including Rep. Alex Mooney defended Trump and stated that “the president was right to object to this disrespect to the American flag and nation”
Is this all blowing out of proportion? It seems like there is a deep sentiment for what had been said by Trump and also the disrespect of the American anthem and flag so you can see the anger from both sides.
Is it all becoming a bit too serious and while there are other more important issues to get on with, it seems like this is just getting way too serious?
On the other hand, if this kind of thing carries on then it’s inevitable that a civil war could break out while tensions are running high in the US. It will come at a time when the nation will need to pull together just in case war breaks out with North Korea.
Maybe heads need to be bumped together to knock some sense into them?
