“Buckingham Palace for sale” screams the headline in a popular British newspaper.
We have heard that the Queen may be tightening up her finances but we never thought times are this hard for the Royal Family.
Is there a “For Sale” sign outside the popular London landmark?
Of course not but an online estate agent has featured the residence priced at a vast amount of money.
Buckingham Palace is over 300 years old and includes 240 bedrooms and 78 bathrooms.
There’s even a doctor’s surgery as well as a swimming pool.
You would be under the impression that times are hard for her Majesty but after reading this valuation from emoov it seems to be just that – a valuation.
So why is this on an estate agency website? Who knows but at 4.9 billion it’s hardly going to sell in a hurry if it was up for sale.
Maybe this is a kind of hint to the right people that it is actually up for sale. Maybe her Majesty doesn’t want it to be too obvious that she needs the money.
Times are hard for many of us and it looks like even one of the most wealthy families could be struggling too.
If you are interested in purchasing Buckingham Palace and want to get a mortgage in the U.K. for this amazing mansion then your monthly payment would be a staggering £22,500 a month.
Many Brits state that the Palace is owned by the people and the Queen is just a resident or sitting tenant at the residence.
The extortionate fee for this amazing building does not include further costs to renovate and maintain it. It’s apparently in desperate need of maintenance and would cost another large amount of money to sort out.
Maybe the Queen is short of a few pounds then? You would think that they would be able to afford to keep Buckingham Palace in good condition wouldn’t you?
It is one of the most popular tourist attractions in the U.K. and London. Thousands of visitors flock to the city every year just to observe the building at the gates and dream that it’s their home.
There seems to be a constant flow of controversy over the Royals. Harry and Meghan seem to be in constant attention with the media now Harry is residing in Los Angeles.
Prince Andrew has been in the spotlight over his antics with underage girls and now Prince William and Prince Charles have been told they are unfit to replace the Queen.
I suppose they all make a good headline as we are constantly fascinated with the lives of the rich and famous.
Who wants to chip in to buy the Palace?
